TAEKWONDO

This fun-filled class is the place to start for young children! Designed to teach the basics of Taekwondo in a way that these formative minds will retain for life. Focus, coordination, discipline, listening skills, self-confidence, stranger awareness and cognitive memory are all part of what a young child will develop through this action packed class.

WHITE BELT: For the beginner we will work on basic stances & blocks, the 1st form Chun-ji, one-step sparring and Taekwondo etiquette.

YELLOW BELT: Continuing the student in basic movements, this rank begins to broaden their understanding of the art of Taekwondo. Additional forms and strategies are built upon for later levels.

GREEN BELT: At this point, the budding martial artist is beginning to emerge! Form and precision are now to be honed as understanding the strategies behind the movement are being molded & implemented.

BLUE BELT: Assured of new found skill & understanding, the martial artist at this level is now ready to begin "becoming a Black Belt!" More responsibility & expectations are demanded as these students are ready for implementing outward signs of the Korean tenants of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance & indomitable spirit!

RED & BLACK BELT: Exclusive to higher ranks, this class is dedicated specifically to forms & sparring. Higher ranking martial artists are always welcome in any of the other classes as well for drill work.

Same Great Taekwondo Martial Arts Program as the evening classes but scheduled during the day to meet the needs of home school families.

Class will focus on specialized breaking and weapons training such as sword, staff, nunchaku & bow.
